Alongside Localization World - Dublin, we are considering hosting a breakfast for the launch of the Irish Chapter of Women in Localization.
This would be a fantastic opportunity for U.S. founding chapter members to meet some new Irish members. This breakfast would also allow Irish chapter members to meet in person to discuss plans for the chapter for the remainder of the year.
We’re picturing an informal breakfast meet and greet that will cover an introduction to the chapter. We’d also love to get feedback from attendees on what type of events and topics they would like to see discussed so we can plan a great and most importantly, helpful Irish l10n chapter for our peers.
Over breakfast and maybe a glass of champagne, we can celebrate the exciting new launch of the Irish Chapter. We can get to know each other and talk about our roles, challenges, interests and hopes for the group—and of course, catch up with old friends and meet new ones.
At the moment, this is just an idea. We need formal RSVPs to see if there is enough interest to make it happen—as it will cost some money for us to book and pre-pay. So the purpose of this correspondence is to see if there is interest.
If you’re interested in this event, please RSVP by Friday, 30 May and we will let everyone know if we can proceed. Space is limited, so please RSVP as soon as possible.
